Is there a difference between connecting to a ssh-server from a different notebook or on the same pc(virtualbox)

Post by admin »

I have a VirtualBox with metasploitable and Kali Linux on this pc. But I also have a VirtualBox on my notebook with Kali Linux. The problem now is that if I try this command:

ssh msfadmin@ip-adress
In my notebook I get the following answer:

ssh. connect to host IP-address port 22: Connections refused
But if I try this on the Virtualbox where I have Kali Linux and Metasploitable I don't get any error and I can connect to metasploitable and start whatever I want to do.

But why can't I connect to metasploitable from my notebook?
